It is with a very heavy heart and great sadness that I write to inform you that our loyal friend and bass trombone player Ron Curtis passed away peacefully following his brave battle with cancer on Friday 29th March, at the age of 73, in the Royal Berkshire Hospital with his family around him.

Ron was a true bandsman in every sense of the word – he will be dearly missed and never forgotten by all who knew him.

The Reading Spring Gardens Brass Band sends its heartfelt condolences to his wife Sandra, son Neil and daughter Clare at this very sad time.

Sincerely,

Matthew A. Ruel
Chairman
