Our Band

The band in its 125th anniversary year has qualified for the National Brass Band Championships of Great Britain for the first time in 65 years!

The band is proud to have been awarded second place in the fourth section of the London & Southern Counties Regional Contest that was held in the Gordon Craig Theatre in Stevenage on Saturday 16th March 2024.

The band was drawn number one in a field of 17 band’s and performed Alan Fernie’s ‘Music for Jock Tamson’ under the baton of our conductor Matthew Ruel.

This is a great feat in the history of the Reading Spring Gardens Brass Band.
